The Salem Initiative Photo Contest
The Salem Initiative is planning a photo contest as part of an effort to market Salem and allow local photographers to show off their talent. An overall winner will be announced, as well as winners in the following categories: night images, Salem area landmarks, local natural landscapes, and the people and activities of Salem. At least the top five images in each category will be displayed on thesaleminitiative.com. Images that incorporate large areas of dark or light space upon which contrasting text could be placed for marketing materials are encouraged and appreciated. The Salem Initiative Scholarship
At the November 2015 Launch Meeting, The Salem Initiative proudly announced that a scholarship is being developed for a deserving Salem High School graduate who embodies the ideals of The Salem Initiative. At least $500 has been pledged to support this scholarship, and the program is expected to grow and develop as an Education Interest Group is formed which will oversee it. More details concerning the application process will be available at a later date.
